  My first trip/getaway with the kids alone after losing my husband. I was anxious but couldn’t have picked a better place to just have some quiet and peaceful time… read more away from all the noise of the city and everything else. It is secluded and you really feel like you are the only people there. Perfect to reconnect as a family. The lodge is clean, and the cabins are equipped with everything you need and necessary comforts (electric blankets, aircon). We also enjoyed our game drive with Gunter, even though we never got to see that many animals it was still fun to be out in the "wild" and the kids enjoyed the snack break in the bush. Our stay was absolutely pleasant and we will surely be going back there again. The owners are friendly, welcoming and ready to assist with any request.

Gunter and Anita are wonderful hosts who are willing to go the extra mile for their guests. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. The lodge is so peaceful and the location absolutely perfect. Anita &… read more Gunter, the hosts, are extremely accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the reserve and its wildlife. Their cabins are lovely in terms of space, facilities and cleanliness and the sparkling swimming pool with help yourself ‘honesty bar’ are great for relaxing from the heat. The early morning game drive with Gunter was really interesting and is strongly recommended for anyone keen to learn about local nature. Anita’s muffins are a delicious bonus!

We stayed in cabin 1 which is the closest to the water hole and had the fortunate opportunity to see much variety of game while sitting and relaxing on the wooden deck. There is a pool in the lodge to help you cool down from those hot summer days. As hosts, Gunther and Anita go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect for you.
